Dan should get it through to himself first. I guess nuclear war and total destruction of all life on the planet is too great a concept to grasp. Dan simply does not realize that the danger of this war, this destruction was real and Adrian averted it. He *is* a martyr, in a way. I would have thanked him in Dan's place - or even if I'd lost someone in the attacks.
