The last line is seriously powerful, just devastating. And I can definitely see Dan sliding down like this, into something that a harsher voice would call apathy but is really just despair. Poor Dan. :( Very interested to see where you're going with this; it's already brilliant in its honesty and unflinching exploration of what would *really* happen in the aftermath of the movie/GN.
