I occasionally remember that I have a Dreamwidth account, and right now seems like a good time to do that. So, if you're jumping ship or just keeping a backup and you'd like to be friends over there, I'm anactoria (unsurprisingly). :)
I don't think I'm jumping yet anyhow, but I am over there backing up any way. Though I reckon they are overloaded at the moment, I've been trying to update my cross posting all day!
Me neither (having been on LJ in some form or other since about 2004, the idea of it not existing any more makes me feel a bit bereft!), but having it as a backup seems like a good idea. I think I'm about number 400 in the import queue... this may be some time!
I thought I'd backed up to there sometime last year but it appears I didn't, I'm now up to entry #408 and 11 hours... When it finishes I'll have to look for some of my LJ flisties to make sure we're friended there too, just in case LJ shuts up shop.
While I'm not planning on leaving LJ, I think having a back up is a great idea, especially if I can have a back up of as many LJ friends as I can - I would truly hate to lose contact with you all.
I'm looking into opening an account, so I'll be looking for you over there when I do! Take care :)
I'm not leaving. LOL! I swear if I have to type that once more. I can't back up, I have over 6,000 entries on here. Most I'll do is renew/re-do my account and then have it as a back up in case this place goes tits up but I don't think they'll shut us down. If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but I am not leaving!
