Fic: Queen Rat (Losing Christina)

This piece of fiction is based on a series of trashy-but-compelling horror novels I read as a young teenager and rediscovered recently, namely Caroline B. Cooney's Losing Christina series, The Fog, The Snow and The Fire. It's pretty rare to come across anyone who's even read those books, let alone written fanfic for them, so I don't know if anyone will want to bother reading this! But, for the record, this story assumes that Christina is in her late teens and Anya her early twenties.
