As usual, I'm mostly looking for Ameri-picking and someone to keep an eye out for character voice, though obviously pointing out any glaring plotholes would also be appreciated. ;) It's about 25k at the moment, and will probably get a bit longer in edits. Summary below the cut, in case anybody's interested. Eternal gratitude will be yours!

I've been so wrapped up in editing my DBBB that I kind of forgot my SPNJ2BB was also going to need a beta. I need to finish the Dean/Benny one first, so I won't be ready to start on this one until next week, probably, but anyway -- if gen casefic with possessed!Dean and Celtic mythology sounds up your alley, reply here or drop me a PM? It's on the short side for a Big Bang -- just over 20K, four proper chapters plus a prologue and epilogue, and my posting date is July 7th.

It started out as a response to this prompt on hoodie_time, but descended into a confused mess of feelings re. the last few episodes somewhere along the way. It'll probably be between 4-5k by the time it's finished. It'd be nice to get it posted before tomorrow night's episode Josses it, but not really necessary.

Nov. 10th, 2014 12:23 amAbout this time last year, I was just getting into SPN in a fannish kind of way -- completely by accident! -- and was feeling pretty unsure about the prospect of dipping my toes into the fandom. Because everything I'd ever heard about it was WANK! SHIPWARS! HORROR! and I'm so incredibly conflict-avoidant that I'd pretty much resigned myself to maybe posting the odd fic to crickets and hiding in the corner and not talking to anyone.
Well, I think you can guess how that went. ;) Because yes, sure, wankshipwarshorror, all of those things exist. But around these parts, at least, they're massively outweighed by the sheer creativity and thoughtfulness of people in the fandom. I was feeling pretty down in the dumps about my DCBB fic last week, because my assigned artist had vanished without contacting me. But then not only didalexisjane step in and produce some fabulous banners/headers/dividers (which you can see on the fic), but now kalliel and amber1960 have made art of their own. Which is also awesome! Go look at it!
This is me being ridiculously happy about fandom. And in that spirit... tell me what's making you happy at the moment? Fandom things! Non-fandom things! All the things! Happy post. :D

I appreciate that it's short notice, since it's a month until the posting date and it's a long (~100,000 words) fic, but I'd really appreciate a second pair of eyes on it to look out for glaring plotholes and the like.

I started writing a fic for the spn_bunker bi-bro challenge a while ago, and I'm going to try and get it edited this week. It's about 5-6000 words, gen, sort of speculative about getting rid of the Mark of Cain and what kinds of decisions Sam might have to make to save his brother, plus some dream-sequence type stuff with anvilicious metaphors. (Hopefully it makes more sense than that description does. :-/) Oh flist, would any of you be willing to take a look at it for me? As always, I'm looking mostly for Ameri-picking and character voice advice, especially since I haven't written Sam's POV before.

Jun. 1st, 2012 12:18 amSo, uh, as a break from struggling with the Cyberpunk AU Of Doom (that's the status it's currently occupying in my mind...:-/), I ended up writing some utter crack. It sort of started out as a fill for this prompt, and then went south via the moon a bit. Would anyone on my f-list be willing to take a look at it for me? (That includes telling me honestly if it's utter crap; I'm fairly sure my internal shit detector is still on the blink.) I'll probably edit the hell out of it over the bank holiday, so it should be ready to send to you sometime next week.
