I'm trying to write my post-Reich fic and a lot of it is focused on the anger John would feel.
Oh, I hope you do! I'll admit, I do enjoy the odd fluffy reunion fic, but those where things aren't okay or back to normal straight away (or at all) always feel more emotionally real to me.
I'm not sure we'll get that if we ever get a series 3, but it wouldn't go down the way it goes down in canon, I feel.
I agree. I have the feeling most of the reunion stuff will be handwaved (not least because they've also got to tell a case story, and there are only 90 minutes to do it in...), but I hope there'll at least be some acknowledgement that, while Sherlock may not have had much other option, that doesn't negate the sense of betrayal everyone else is likely to feel.
(That said, Martin Freeman's face could possibly convey that all on its own...)
