Since all the cool kids are doing it:

Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

I can't promise they'll be facts that make sense, but hey.

1. Like his canon counterpart, he did experience life-altering visions while travelling in Egypt. They weren't drug-induced, though. They're entirely inexplicable, aside from the fact that they occurred in the presence of a crabbed and rather creepy old man who may or may not have been an avatar of Nyarlathotep.
2. He sometimes finds himself mentally anthropomorphising the Necronomicon. This annoys him intensely.
3. He's friends with Arthur Machen, who once got Dan very drunk on 'Dog & Duck Punch' at a cocktail party. Which in the long run ended up being a good thing, but of course Adrian's far too classy to go into detail about that. (I, on the other hand, am not.)

...But did they actually play Dog & Duck? That would be terrifying all on its own.

I don't think anybody was quite drunk enough for that to seem like a good idea. ;)

Yes, I imagine it would take quite a lot of imbibing to get to that point.

Oh, definitely. ;) And that point is probably the point at which someone should say 'Okay, time to go to bed now.'

1. The rise of the Party actually did him some good, in a weird way. Because despite the stress, and the bleakness, and all the horrible things that happened under the Steele government, getting involved with the resistance made him feel like he was actually doing something useful again. He quite often feels guilty about this.
2. He has recurring nightmares in which the day the secret police show up to arrest him is the day he really, really can't find his glasses.
3. One of the things that keeps him going is his mental list of Things He Is Going To Do When All This Is Over. Things on the list include retiring to the country (which will probaby never happen, thanks to his attachment to New York), getting a dog (which will probably also never happen, thanks to Adrian's attachment to the family Felidae), and learning to cook himself a decent meal (which will happen).

1. After Karnak, he actually avoided finding out what Dan and Laurie were calling themselves and where they were living, out of respect for their privacy/desire never to see him again. By the time the Party started going after masks, he wasn't even sure he'd be able to do anything to stop it. He looked them up anyway.
2. He didn't really have a parent-child kind of relationship with his parents. Being 'intellectually unremarkable' and all, they didn't really know what to do with this brilliant child they'd somehow produced, and pretty much left him to his own devices, just in reacting in a vague, 'Oh, that's nice dear' kind of a way. He didn't find out that they'd been Nazis until after they died.
3. He took absolutely nothing of sentimental value with him when he left New York. But he totally saved Birds of Continental Europe after the secret police ransacked HQ.

1. That is so Adrian.
2. It's scary how easily I can see this as canon, particularly the fact that they wouldn't have appreciated Adrian's intellect. I can imagine the barrier there would be between him and two people who should be close to him but couldn't really approach him in a way that wasn't superficial or expected.
3. Awwwww.

Yeah -- I tend to be of the opinion that his parents weren't incredibly horrible, or anything (at least, not to him) but just weren't really there. And not having any kind of support or anyone at home to engage with would probably feed into his isolation and sense of being above everyone else.

1. He actually did some semi-serious research on the origins of mythology and the like, and had a couple of papers published in an obscure British journal. He stopped sending them when a well-known anthropologist pretty much ripped them off wholesale for a chapter in one of her books, but he tried not to be bitter. After all, it's not like he needed the credit, and to be honest he'd probably be a little uncomfortable with the attention if he pointed out the plagiarism.
2. He has those Randolph Carter kind of adventure-dreams sometimes. You know -- a bit scary and creepy, but totally worth going to sleep for.
3. He is stronger than he thinks he is.
