1. Except Thou Bless Me by architeuthis (Dean/Cas, NC-17. The kind of S4 Dean!fic that I will never get tired of reading.)
2. Hunt Smart by anonymous (Claire gen, PG. Okay, I'm cheating a little since this was written for me, but it's wonderful.)
3. Crack by frozen_delight (Dean gen, T. This is a wonderful exploration of S11 Dean and his attraction to the Darkness, and deserves much more love.)
4. Jai Guru Deva Om by Sharlot (Dean gen, T. Stanford-era angst, hurt!Dean, cult psychology and a truly creepy monster.)
5. Catastrophic System Failure by zara_zee (Charlie gen, PG-13. My favourite 10x21 fixit.)
6. Neverland by thethingsunsaid (Dean/Benny, Emma, M. I loathe "The Slice Girls" with the fire of a thousand suns, so I've rarely thought much about Emma except to feel a bit sad for her that she had to be in such a terrible episode. This fleshes her out into the fascinating character she could have been.)
7. How to Fall by FortinbrasFTW (Sam/Lucifer, M. This is an obvious one, but it seems to be the gateway drug to this pairing for a lot of people, and for good reason.)
8. Honestly, fic that inspires me to write and fic that I like tend to be very different things, so I feel like answering this one would go against the spirit of the meme! (I find annoyance very motivating, I'm afraid.)
9. The Secret Diary of Lucifer by goddamnhella (Lucifer gen, T. This is hilariously quotable from start to finish, but "Bad press about ‘evil’ Lucifer ruining chances for mass genocide" might be my favourite. XD)
10. I'm going to go with 'a fic I wish I'd written': The Monster by kalliel (Dean, Sam, Cas, gen, M. This does amazing, mind-twisty things and makes them make perfect sense -- and it's beautiful, of course.)

Thanks for the rec! I've been loving looking through all these rec posts; there are even a few here and there that I haven't read, which is great.
I'm toying with the idea of putting one of these together myself...But gosh...it's hard to rec just one story per category when there's so much amazing stuff out there!
