Aww man, The Dark Crystal. It was on telly every school holiday, without fail, when I was a kid, and it terrified and fascinated me in equal measure. I really wish I'd never re-watched it. I couldn't get over the fact they were so obviously puppets, and it lost its magic for me. (Ogra was still awesome though.)

Aw :( that really is too bad. I love that movie, even though yes, the puppetry isn't all that good.

I don't have any movies like that, but there's at least half a dozen TV shows that I absolutely adored as a kid, and when I re-watched them 15 years later, I realized that they were kind of awful. Like the A-Team...

It's such a shame when that happens. :( I think it's that the Skeksis were the scariest things in the world, ever, to my five-year-old self, and watching it back recently just made me go "...oh."

Never seem the A-Team, though my other half keeps threatening to make me go and see the new film with him. o.O
