I start teaching again tomorrow. I feel like I've spent the past week or two doing nothing but around like a headless chicken, and I AM NOT READY DAMMIT.

...surely I'm too old to be scared of looking an idiot in front of some hungover first-years by now?

Aw, thanks! I'm just so nervous about it I can't get my head on straight to concentrate on anything else. Which is annoying, to say the least, what with there being work I need to do and fic I want to write. :/

I'm sure it'll all be fine! First years are first years, after all. There was a darling lamb who came knocking at the computer room door this morning looking for a certain lecturer, and managed to totally miss the sign on the door pointing out that he was somewhere else entirely.

(I shouldn't be too harsh, I've hardly grown out of this sort of dippiness myself. Also I miss first year: when everything was new and shiny and none of the marks mattered...)

Ah, yes. I remember those days well.

Actually, that's a lie, I spent most of them doing ridiculous swooshy goth dancing while drunk and then falling over. I have some sort of vague idea that they were quite fun, though.

It is pretty easy to get lost and such things when you've just started. I'm hoping they'll be too dazed and confused to notice I have only the barest idea what I'm doing. ;)
