Ugh. I seem to be having one of those phases where absolutely everything I write sucks, and I'm so absorbed in tinkering with it I've lost the ability to tell whether it makes sense or not. I really want to write this thing but...ugh.

Would it help if I told you that it probably doesn't suck? Like, with a certainty of about 95%? Because you are an amazing writer. So stop tinkering, finish it and then go back and edit. Editing while you're still getting the skeleton, the story, down, it doesn't do anything except distract you.

Aw, thank you. ♥ I think I probably just need to give it a little rest and let my moment of 'aargh!' subside. I know I'll edit it once it's done anyway, so I know you're right, there's not actually any point worrying about it now -- I just need to get out of the mindset.

Yeah, I've started writing something else, just for a bit of fun, to take my mind off it. (Usually, having something I really need to be writing for uni is guaranteed to give my inspiration a kick up the arse. Sod's law...)

I'm sorry. :( That pretty much sums up how I feel about most everything I write. Honestly, though, I'm not sure you're capable of writing something that sucks.

It might help if you have somebody go over what you've written so far, if it's one fic in particular.

Aww, thank you. ♥ (I totally do write stuff that sucks, though. I think knowing when to delete crap is a large component of writing halfway decently!)

Yeah, I've had a few days off it to write something else that's just a bit of fun. If I'm still stuck in a rut when I go back to it I might make a post begging people for opinions! ;)
